Since February 2026, we have been engaged in the REP (Research in Perspective) initiative, launched by Ohme in partnership with ULB and La Cambre to promote scientific mediation. As part of this programme, we collaborated with two graphic and visual design students to develop a game that raises players’ awareness of the internet’s environmental impact.
This Monday, we tested our first game prototype with the MImPG team to gather feedback and refine its content and design. Once completed, the game will be publicly shared in our website.
The game aims to make internet infrastructure more visible and understandable to the general public. It encourages players to consider the environmental, social, and economic impacts of the internet by presenting them with events to which they must respond using pre-proposed actions. Players must also ensure their infrastructure provides access to the ever-growing number of users on their fictitious network.
